The OCS enables transparent, consistent and comprehensive assessment and verification of organic material content claims in products.
Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) is used as a chain of custody standard to track recycled raw materials in the supply chain. The standard was developed through work done by the Materials Traceability Working Group, part of the OIA Sustainability Working Group. RCS uses the chain of custody requirements of the Content Claims Standard. RCS verifies the presence and quantity of a recycled material in a final product. This is done through third-party verification of inputs and chain of custody. It enables transparent, consistent, comprehensive and independent assessment and verification of claims regarding recycled material content in products.
